Sharon Shackelford

Sharon Shackelford is beginning her fourteenth year at Glenforest. She is the Director of Instruction and also a math teacher. Sharon earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas and a Master of Science in mathematics from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. Ms. Shackelford taught secondary math in the public school for 33 years (Eau Claire HS, Dreher HS, C.A. Johnson HS, and Richland Northeast HS). She was also a Teacher Specialist with the State Department of Education for 3 years. In addition, she was an adjunct instructor for the math department at USC Columbia (2000 - 2023).

Ms. Shackelford has two daughters and two granddaughters (whom she loves to spoil).
