Ways to Give
Gifts can be made using cash, checks, credit cards or EFT automatic withdrawal from your checking account.

Endowment Fund By Way of Stock Gifts:
GFS has established an agency endowment fund with Central Carolina Community Foundation. Our endowed fund will be invested on a “total return” basis to maintain and, if possible, increase the real value (as adjusted for inflation) of the fund, while at the same time providing a relatively steady and predictable distribution. By making a tax-deductible gift to our fund at the Community Foundation, you are helping us to continue to fulfill our mission for generations to come.
To donate to the Glenforest School Fund please request the CCCF form. You may also send a check payable to the Glenforest School Fund and mail to: Central Carolina Community Foundation, 2711 Middleburg Drive, Suite 213, Columbia, SC 29204. For questions regarding gifts of stock or securities please contact the Community Foundation office at 803.254.5601 x325.
Gifts of Real Estate:
GFS may accept gifts of real estate after a review of the property. The review would include: marketability; restrictions on the sale of the property; liens, costs of liquidating the property; appraisal.
(GFS will not accept real estate gifts that involves restrictions as to timing and to whom the property may be sold to.)
Donors can make GFS both the policy owner and the beneficiary If the donor does not continue to pay the premium; GFS may elect to continue to pay the premium and receive the full face value of the policy or surrender the policy for its present cash value.

Matching Gifts:
Many corporations have a matching gift program that encourages employees to think philanthropically by matching their charitable gifts. Matching gifts can potentially double or triple a donor’s gift. The impact is tremendous. Check with your Human Resources department to see if your employer has a matching gift program and to obtain a matching gift form.
Endowment:
An endowment for GFS would enable more resources to meet the needs of families including financial aid for families and salary enhancement for our employees. Because of the vision of several community leaders, GFS has met with the Central Carolina Community Foundation and is ready to enact this program. The principal would stay intact while the investment interest income provides needed support annually. Opportunities are available to establish this for you and or a specific scholarship fund(s).

Your giving is an investment in the lives of students at Glenforest School. The most compelling reason to give is that every gift, regardless of the amount, supports our every day mission of educating students who learn differently in order to impact the world of learning differences.
