My name is Lisa Henry. I have a BAIS degree from the University of South Carolina. I have been teaching for 21 years. I have taught preschool, first grade, and sixth through twelve grades. I will be completing my Masters in Divergent Learning at Columbia College this May, 2011. I live in Lexington and have three children.
Philosophy of Education (short version)
I believe every student has the potential to learn. I also believe that individual students learn differently and at a different pace. It is my goal to discover each of my student’s strengths and the way he/she learns best and gear my instruction toward meeting each individual’s learning needs.
I serve as the Dean of Teachers providing oversight and guidance to our faculty. I will seek to incorporate hands-on activities in every classroom, project based-learning activities, field trips, discovery activities, as well as some traditional teaching activities. I have high expectations for my teachers and students. And will be supportive and encouraging along the way.
I am looking forward to a fantastic year! Please email me if you would like too.
